The State of Small-Business Email Security
Live aggregate statistics from Domain Shield's free email security scans. Every number below is computed from the scanner's own counters — aggregate counts only, with no domain names and no personal data, ever. The page re-renders from live data on every view.

Methodology
- Source: anonymous counters incremented on every completed scan (
/api/diagnoseand the monitoring scan). Counters store statuses and grades only — the scanned domain name is never written to the statistics store. - Scoring: SPF 33 + DKIM 33 + DMARC 34 = 0–100. Each protocol scores full marks when SECURED, 15 when WARNING, 0 otherwise. UNKNOWN ("Not confirmed") never counts as a pass or a fail.
- Caveats: this is a self-selected sample of domains people chose to scan, dominated by UK-style SME domains, not a random sample of the web. Repeat scans of the same domain are counted separately;
uniqueDomainsgives the deduplicated view.
